Job description
As a Product Manager, you will be Managing and executing the strategic direction of the product category.
Understanding the overall market dynamics, end user needs, competitive offerings and changes in specifications and laws and use that understanding to drive effective strategies for the organization.
What You Will Do
Own and deliver the product roadmap.
Managing the product life cycle to ensure the category continues to offer the best value to our customers, our business, and drives year on year growth with alignment to the Business Model.
Development and execution of category plans, and input into the Long-Range Plan and Annual Plan.
End to end ownership of customer-back product roadmaps (supported by Technical) including understanding the technical features of the products and their packaging.
Development of robust business cases to support progression through the Stage Gate process.
Understand the market.
Actively follow through on market insights to drive new product development/innovation in the category.
Maintain benchmark analysis of competitor’s products/solutions and actively use to drive category strategies.
Lead price positioning strategy, develop new product pricing and consult on cost saving and/or value engineering projects.
Monitor and manage the commercial success of new products and initiatives.
Support BAU activity related to product sell through
Develop and maintain an effective communications strategy to key internal and external stakeholders.
Development of value propositions, marketing/product claims, including compliance and performance related documentation.
Manage product quality, compliance issues, and complaints including leading and owning incident investigations.
Develop and execute product training and support to internal and external stakeholders to drive growth.
What We Are Looking For
Product Management experience with manufactured products, including execution of product lifecycle fundamentals, including 5P’s.
Working effectively with teams in multiple locations, with strong credibility & influencing skills and trusted relationships.
Strong sense of initiative, with the ability to prioritise workflows with the ability to be flexible & adaptable in a changing environment.
Strong consultative, collaborative approach & manner.
Ability to build strong relationships, at various levels, both internally and externally.
Confidence engaging with customers.
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, or related field.
Industrial marketing experience considered favourably.
Strategically Positions Business to Win – Creates strategy & alignment across Division; balances short & long-term goals, makes good strategic/data driven choices; clearly and succinctly communicates direction.
