Job Description

Empower Australia’s Payments Future with Cuscal
Ever tapped your phone to buy a morning coffee, or made a purchase from your favourite online store? Chances are, we’ve made it happen.

At Cuscal, we’ve been at the forefront of payments innovation for 59 years, enabling seamless, secure solutions that millions of Australians rely on every day. From launching Australia’s first ATM to being the first certified Australian fast payments Payer and Initiator in 2022, we’ve always pushed boundaries — and we’re not stopping now.

We are a listed public company (ASX:CCL) with full direct connectivity and production capability across all domestic payment systems. Whilst the major banks leverage this capability for their consumer and business clients, our B2B model focuses on enabling other banks, fintechs and corporates to deliver innovative and competitive payment and digital solutions to their clients and customers.

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our dynamic Product team within our Financial Crime Domain.

As payment methods evolve, so too do the efforts of criminals in their attempts to defraud businesses and consumers. The Financial Crime domain sets the strategic direction for fraud, scam, AML and broader financial crime capabilities across Cuscal’s payment products. This includes identifying emerging typologies, assessing product‑level vulnerabilities, and translating those risks into roadmap priorities and investment cases. We’re looking for a Product Manager to continue to drive forward Cuscal’s robust fraud monitoring solutions that leverage artificial intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to stay ahead of emerging fraud trends, while protecting our clients; their customers, brand, and balance sheets.

About the Role:

Design value propositions that differentiate Cuscal’s position in the market

Ensure that there are clearly defined product requirements, SLAs aligned to market needs, pricing models and distribution channels.

Manage the integration of new product development or product change into existing processes.

Evaluate product competitiveness to enhance business impact and product profitability.

Ensure that all products, services, and activities are compliant with all forms of regulation, legislation and/or policies.

Clearly understand the relationship between the clients and Cuscal and take every opportunity to enhance the relationship with our clients.

Monitor projects to provide recommendations and solutions in line with product roadmaps.

Develop, prepare, and deliver presentations or communications on products and services to clients and other interested parties to assist in the education process and marketing of Cuscal’s products.

Stay up to date on industry trends and new developments in payments technology to help improve payment processing efficiency.

About You:

You'll bring strong product discipline to financial crime, having the ability to translate threat intelligence and regulatory expectations into clear roadmaps and working software. You focus on building products that enable clients to prevent, detect and respond to fraud and financial crime across complex payment ecosystems. You'll have the below skills and experience:

Proven Product Management experience in banking, fraud, and financial crimes with a preference for delivering SaaS and/or B2B products

Demonstrated Experience in development and execution of product management tactics for complex products

Demonstrated experience in product development/enhancement of business cases for B2B Partners and clients

Domain experience in payments issuing, switching, settlements and/or disputes is highly regarded

Join us at the forefront of payments
