Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Manager - Tech Lead to develop and lead the technology ecosystem at Edept. This role involves building and enhancing a cutting-edge Learning Management System (LMS) and related tools for personalizing learning experiences. The role also focuses on creating assessment tools, learning content, and solutions that manage the complete student lifecycle—from acquisition to program completion and alumni engagement.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and product management, with experience in the education domain being a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities
• Product Development:
• Design, develop, and deploy the LMS and related technology tools to personalize and improve learning experiences.
• Build robust assessment tools, including psychometric tests, quizzes, and performance analytics.
• Develop digital learning content platforms to host courses, tutorials, and interactive content.
• Create products to support student acquisition, program management, and alumni engagement.
• Content and Assessment Integration:
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to integrate assessments, tests, and learning modules into the LMS.
• Build adaptive learning features that recommend content and assessments based on student performance.
• Ensure seamless delivery of learning content through innovative tools like gamification, simulations, or virtual labs.
• Technical Leadership:
• Oversee the technical architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with engineers to translate product requirements into technical specifications.
• Incorporate AI/ML capabilities for personalized learning, content recommendations, and real-time feedback.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Work closely with the operations, partnerships, and program teams to align product development with business goals.
• Gather feedback from users (students, faculty, and institutions) to iterate and improve tools and features.
• Project Management:
• Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Manage a small team of developers or external partners to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in product management and engineering roles, ideally in edtech or education-related fields.
• Proven experience building and launching technology products, including LMS, assessment tools, or digital content platforms.
• Strong technical background with the ability to understand and contribute to engineering discussions.
• Hands-on experience with modern tech stacks, APIs, and integration frameworks.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience in the education domain or edtech startups.
• Exposure to AI/ML for adaptive learning, content personalization, or data analytics in education.
• Understanding of student lifecycle management processes and tools.
• Experience in designing or managing the integration of assessment tools and learning content.
