We are seeking an experienced and motivated Product Manager with a strong background in UK tax compliance, workpaper processes, and accounting workflows to lead the development and growth of our UK Workpaper Software.
Job Summary
The Product Manager for the UK region will be responsible for driving the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of our UK-focused Workpaper Software.
This role requires a solid understanding of UK taxation, including individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, along with experience in accounting or tax software development.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, UX and UI, sales, marketing, and support, to ensure the product meets market needs, adheres to compliance standards, and delivers exceptional value to accounting professionals in the United Kingdom.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the product roadmap for the UK Tax Workpaper Software, aligning it with the company's strategic goals and market expansion plans.
Conduct market and competitor research to understand UK tax firm workflows, identify customer needs, and uncover automation opportunities.
Define clear product requirements, specifications, and user stories, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical development.
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to prioritise features, manage sprints, and deliver high-quality, user-friendly software solutions.
Monitor and analyse product performance metrics and user feedback to guide continuous improvement and feature enhancements.
Stay updated on UK tax regulations and HMRC compliance requirements to ensure timely updates within the platform.
Serve as the product evangelist, representing the product internally and externally to clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
Support product localisation efforts and integration with leading accounting and bookkeeping platforms in the UK market.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. ACCA, CA, or MBA preferred.
Strong understanding of UK tax laws, business entity structures such as individual, partnership, and corporation, and tax workpaper preparation processes.
Experience in tax or accounting software, preferably with exposure to UK market products such as Intuit, Thomson Reuters, Wolters Kluwer, Xero UK, or similar platforms.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex tax requirements into intuitive software features.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in agile or cross-functional environments.
