Role Responsibilities
• Digital Platforms is a strategic global business in CCIB that creates differentiated connectivity solutions for clients to efficiently and securely access the Bank's transactional services in over 50 markets. This includes internet and mobile banking for global business clients, direct integration options, as well as services through third parties.
• SCALE (Standard Chartered Aggregated Liquidity Engine) is a multi-currency FX service which allows businesses to price goods and services in a variety of foreign currencies while clients receive funds settlement and reporting in their local currency. The product is offered to internal and external customers of Standard Chartered. SCALE is a both a channel (exposed via APIs) and a platform (via UI) which presents as unique client offering.
• This a multifaceted role where the successful candidate would need a solid Product owner with a strong track record in understanding complex business & client requirements and be able to deliver a compelling product while interfacing with Sales, FX traders, IT, Quants, Risk, Operations, Finance teams. As a product owner contributing to business outcomes and roadmap definition, defining system roadmap required to meet core business outcomes and drive growth & contribution from staff and other functions.
• Working with both a strategic and a tactical focus, the suitable candidate will be responsible for delivery of a significant investment in enhancing our clients' digital experience. The candidate shall determine priorities, manage deliveries, strategize business development, structure solutions, prioritise product developments base on client requirements and achieve agreed client outcomes.
• This role sits in the Digital Channels & Data Analytics (DCDA) division within Standard Chartered and is responsible for playing a pivotal role in delivering cutting edge products while interfacing between Business, Technology, Risk & other support organizations.
Responsibilities
• Act as a product owner contributing to business outcomes and roadmap definition, defining system roadmap required to meet core business outcomes and assist Sales to drive product adoption.
• Create and maintain the product portfolio strategy and roadmap including milestones & dependencies.
• Interview & interact with customers and commercial teams to discover the true customer needs and ensure value is delivered upon release of new product features & flows.
• Collaborate with clients, sales & IT to deliver a compelling product offering for external & internal mandates.
• Work with the FM Sales team to pitch the platform to clients / support the sales team to conduct required market/client research / demonstrate the product to the client (API demonstrations).
• Provide leadership in the commercialization and utilization efforts of the APIs & product/platform.
• Drive and manage API performance by tracking utilization and forecasting future usage to enable scalability & reliability
• Collaborate with Technology & Innovation partners to manage complex project rollouts, resource capture & future ready planning.
Strategy
• Provide API solutioning support for complex deals or RFPs working with Sales/Regional partners
• Manage projects within approved timeframe & budget.
• Sponsor launches of product enhancement, new products & platform as required
• Identify and market size new business opportunities & revenue pools and articulate channel capabilities needed for client acquisition
• Launch key enhancements, including post implementation tracking of anticipated benefits.
• Quantitative & qualitative analysis, management reporting.
• Build and commercialize the pipeline around API Banking
• Execute data strategy and use cases in alignment with central plan.
Business
• Effectively manage risk arising out of changes & deliveries, provide amicable solution & ensure Sales/PO/Compliance are updated with regular information
• Identify risks and issues early, plan mitigating steps and communicate these to stakeholders in a timely manner
Governance
• Collaborate with Sales for developing, improving and leveraging senior client contacts within key local accounts with a primary focus on the SCALE product with a view to expand cross-sell.
• Understand the needs of customers and prospects, and implement structures and solutions to meet these needs
People & Talent
• Ensure Country compliance on Group standard for Audit, Control and financial reporting
• Maintain the product programmes and PPG/ CA database as per product governance guideline
• Act as a liaison with the local risk committees
