The Role Responsibilities

Strategy

Standard Chartered Bank has created a CCIB mobile app as part of the S2B omni-channel offering strategy to facilitate ease of accessing S2B on-the-go for our CCIB clients.

The mobile app is live in 47 markets, and we will continue leveraging on it to build out the product offerings in our ecosystem to create value for our clients and our business, while positioning SCB as the most client-centric and innovative corporate and institutional bank.

Business

As a Product Owner of the CCIB Mobile App, you will functionally report to the Chief Product Owner, Mobile and administratively to the Senior Product Owner, Cash and will drive the execution of the vision and strategy for the CCIB mobile app.

Processes
• Support the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the CCIB mobile app and work alongside stakeholders to drive the execution and delivery of the product backlog.
• Develop new features and functionalities based on customer feedback and market trends to improve existing product offerings and / or to develop new ones.
• Manage, plan and drive the CCIB mobile product backlog, from initial conceptualisation, design of prototypes, implementation, and testing, launch on app stores, to post go-live gathering of customer feedback to constantly reiterate and improve on the product offerings.
• Be able to communicate well with business analysts in translating business requirements, uses cases into user stories through JIRA / ADO / confluence.
• Engage with business and country stakeholders to lead and run prioritisation sessions of product features and country nuances through weekly / monthly LUW, Refinement forums sessions.
• Lead and manage the grooming sessions with Technology teams, evaluation solutions proposed by Tech team, vendors and ensure the best of class methodologies are deployed to achieve the business objectives.
• Work with stakeholders towards delivery of VCO targets / KPIs for Mobile app including penetration and adoption metrics.
• Conduct / manage user acceptance tests (UAT, PVT, pilot testing) to support commercialisation of the mobile app onto IOS / Android application stores.
• Ensure smooth rollout and adoption of the mobile app, manage pre and post implementation activities, conduct training and commercialization sessions with client service partners and coverage teams.
• Work closely with commercialization and support centre product teams to manage the mobile app artefacts, ensure that materials are up to date and relevant based on latest developments.
• Maintain close working relationship with Tech team (dev, support) to resolve defects / issues.
• Engage actively with the TB business, product, implementation and client management, legal, compliance, operations and sales teams to create awareness of the app features and encourage a participative attitude to elicit business and client participation and ensure overall success of the mobile app delivery.

People and Talent

He / She should have strong domain knowledge of mobile banking and the digital landscape. You will work with talented team members across CCIB Product Management, CCIB Technology, CCIB Technology, communications team, client service partners and coverage teams to drive the delivery. You will be required to push the boundaries by bringing in new ideas/solutions that will take the Banks’ digital capabilities to our clients. Strong initiation, communication and collaboration skills are also key for success in this role.

• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
• 4 years of experience in product management, mobile product management or similar role.
• To be able to adopt a data-driven and risk-based approach with regards to product development.
• Possess relevant working experience (Scrum Product Owner and / or Design Thinking, AGILE methodology certifications would be preferred).
• Familiar with digital and mobile development and trends with an eye for details and appreciation of design thinking / human centre design principles.
• Proven track records in online / mobile banking product development with good understanding of the digital payment capabilities / ecosystems.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving, communication skills. Able to think out of the box.
• Proficient in presentation deck preparation (using Microsoft Powerpoint and other visualisation tools).
• Team player and work well under pressure and with deadlines.
• Self-starter with initiative.

Role Specific Technical Competencies
• Minimum of 7 - 8 years of experience with a proven track record of working in the product management or channel management functions in Transaction banking. Having advanced experience in payment products will be an advantage.
• Pertinent first-hand experience and a proven track record of working in the product management and development functions in Cash Management Transaction banking (including payments, collections and or liquidity solutions). Having advanced experience in payment products will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of the product development lifecycle using Agile Methodology and relevant prior experience in drafting vision statements, epics and user stories, use cases documents, solution papers, business workflow documents and high-level design documents.
• Deep understanding of the transaction banking domain with a profound ability to conceive and design end-to-end product flows, define interface requirements, identify relevant operational processes and clearly articulate these flows and processes to the relevant business and technology workgroups.
• Prior knowledge and first-hand experience in user interface (UI) oriented assignments, particularly on fast-emerging touchpoints such as mobiles and tablets as well as the conventional channels such as Web and Host-to-Host.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and lateral thinking skills to manage complex application functionalities and conflicting business priorities.
• Proven inter-personal skills to actively engage with cross-cultural teams across the globe in understanding client needs, training the frontline country staff, managing client queries and feedback, etc.
• Understanding of technology; proven ability to translate technology possibilities and solutions to business / client usage opportunities will be an added advantage.
• Self-driven and highly motivated professional with a strong sense of ownership and a passion towards delivering high-quality client solutions.
