We are currently seeking an experienced, decisive, and innovative Product Manager to join our expanding operation and build product portfolio of medical devices.
The Aspirant will focus on developing and managing medical device product categories, help make important guiding decisions regarding existing products and product development, and work collaboratively with other teams to attain our shared corporate goals and maximise profitability. You should be a strong leader with excellent management skills who is able to motivate and innovate on a daily basis.
Job Description:
· Develops the overall strategy for a product category and researches new product options in the category to drive sales and achieve targets.
· Provide category insights and proposals by analysing marketing and customer data and monitoring relevant market conditions.
· Works closely with sales team to determine optimal pricing through analysis of sales trends, competitors, buying habits and plannograms of products to promote sales opportunities.
· Provides effective promotional materials.
· Looks for manufacturers across the world developing and manufacturing products in the company's pipeline.
· Develop relationship and source products with existing a new manufacturers.
· Manage end to end logistics and delivery of product from manufacturing to delivery are warehouse.
· Keep a close watch on product inventory and sales trend to trigger orders and maintain sufficient stock.
· May develop special arrangements with vendors to enhance product promotions.
· Report to a head of a unit/department.
· Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
· May give input into developing the budget.
· Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
Desired Candidate Profile:
· A Biomedical engineer having experience of medical device industry product management is most preferred
· MBA in sales, marketing, or related field
· Minimum 4 years experience in product portfolio or category management
· Significant experience in sourcing, product portfolio management, purchasing strongly preferred
· Proven record of successful vendor relations and product assessment
· Ability to foresee market trends and stay ahead of the competition
· Excellent collaborative and team building skills
· Outstanding communication and presentation skills
· Solid analytical skills
· Skilled in Microsoft Office and database management programs
