Production Assembler - Summer Contract
POSITION SUMMARY
Assemble and test mechanical and electrical systems.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Performs assembly and test activities as outlined in Manufacturing Assembly Protocols (MAPs).
Reads and interprets mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications.
Follows all applicable safety procedures and practises safe work habits.
Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area.
Identifies non-conforming components, assemblies and processes by using the NC System process
Initiates continuous improvement activities in own area, and supports continuous improvement activities of all employees.
Monitors stock levels in work area and advises Lead Hand regarding shortages.
Completes work orders, production/time sheets, quality records and other records and requests
Performs other job activities as instructed by the Lead Hand or Production Leader
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to communicate and interact effectively
Ability to work equally well as part of an assembly team or individually
Organized with attention to detail.
