We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our founder in crafting high quality ice cream. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting production operations, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety practices and mechanical knowledge, as well as the ability to perform various tasks related to food fabrication, packaging, and sanitation.
Responsibilities
Assist in the operation of production equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal performance.
Follow food safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Sanitate work areas and equipment regularly
Fabricate ice cream products according to established recipes and specifications.
Package finished products for distribution, ensuring quality standards are met.
Utilize basic math skills for measuring ingredients and managing inventory.
Collaborate with the team to meet production goals and deadlines.
Qualifications
Mechanical knowledge is preferred to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
Experience in the food processing industry is a plus, with an understanding of food safety standards.
Basic math skills are essential for accurate measurements and calculations.
Familiarity with sanitation practices within a food production environment.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
This is a seasonal role that will have very little hours during winter but can be the foundation for moving up.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.54-$21.54 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 24 per week
