Production Engineer
Process Management: Oversee and manage the extrusion production process to ensure efficient
and high-quality output. Monitor and adjust machine settings to maintain product specifications and
quality standards. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for extrusion
processes.
Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on extruded products. Identify and
troubleshoot quality issues, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with
the quality assurance team to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer
specifications.
Continuous Improvement: Analyse production data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency,
yield, and product quality. Implement lean manufacturing techniques and process optimization
initiatives.
Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure proper functioning and
regular maintenance of extrusion equipment. Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance
activities to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to production staff and operators. Train
and mentor team members on best practices and new technologies related to extrusion processes.
Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to develop and test new extrusion materials and
products.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Promote a culture of safety within the production team, conducting regular safety audits and
training sessions. Implement and enforce safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials
Science, or a related field. Strong knowledge of extrusion processes, machinery, and materials.
Proficiency in using production management software and tools. Excellent problem-solving skills and
attention to detail. Strong communication and leadership abilities. Ability to work effectively in a
fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
methodologies. Knowledge of polymer science and extrusion material properties. Familiarity with
industry-specific quality standards and certifications.
