This role will be responsible for Infrastructure Oracle Exadata Database administration (SME) as part of Production Management organization of 247365, an organization that delivers highly secure, reliable, efficient technology operations services that are focused on the needs of all State Street business. Responsible for Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge and Configuration management for infrastructure platforms. This role will be responsible for the day to day governance of operations processes driving platform availability. In collaboration with the business, technology peers, and vendor partners, you will ensure that State Street’s businesses have optimized services and operations, enabling greater availability, performance and reliability in the delivery of State Street products.
What you will be responsible for:
As Infrastructure Operations Exadata Database SME you will be an escalation point of contact for major incidents for oracle database infrastructure:
• Technical bridge between Operations team members including service providers
• Institute and govern KRI's, KPIs and Metrics related for operational procedures
• Incident, Change, Knowledge, and Problem Management accountability
• Deep understanding and expertise in Oracle Database Tuning, Performance Tuning / Query optimization.
• Hands on experience on RAC,ASM environment
• Hands on experience on database backup and recovery/migration technologies
• Responsible for understanding Exawatcher, Exacheck, Oracheck, OSWatcher, TFA, AWR, ADDM and ASH reports and suggest improvements
• Responsible for end to end support for oracle database Platform including Exadata/Open systems Database monitoring, investigating problems and developing solutions
• Good knowledge on Oracle Goldengate and exposure to Install/Configure/Upgrade
• Governance and monitoring of Goldengate replication for lags and abends
• Provide support for Database life cycle activities
• Responsible for identifying OS CPU, Swap, memory and IO issues and suggest improvements
• Experience in working on different Unix flavors like Linux, Solaris, AIX etc.
• Adhere to the customers Incident Management Processes and proactively drive the continuous improvement of the Incident Management Process
• Manage in scope incidents in the Customer IT Environment in accordance with the customers Incident Management Process
• Opening required Problem Tickets from Incident Tickets Improving the quality and usage of the Known Error Database and recommended workarounds
Education & Preferred Qualifications:
• B.S/M.S. Degree
• Total 10-15 years experience and min 7+ as L3 Production Support Oracle database Administration
• Oracle, Exadata, Goldendale, OEM13c, TSM backup, ZFS , RHEL, Solaris
• SQL Knowledge, Shell scripting, Python, Ansible
• Certification :OCP, OCA
• ITIL
• Experience in managing Oracle database support (both Exadata, RHEL, Solaris) of 247365 in high demanding industry like Banking/Finance for more than 10 yrs.
• Deep understanding of Exadata/Oracle and Goldengate concepts as well as products
• Strong Troubleshooting, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Analytical, Collaboration and Decision Making Skills. Proactively identify issues, root cause analysis and implement both temporary and permanent solutions
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Automation & Hybrid Cloud Experience
