THE ROLE
As our Production Manager, you will work with our small dedicated team in Perth ensuring seamless manufacturing and distribution of Steadyrack products to our warehouses and customers globally. Working closely with our new product development (NPD) manager, you'll be responsible for the procurement , quality control and logistics planning for our complete range of products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
INVENTORY PLANNING AND FORECASTING
Utilize data analysis and forecasting software to optimize inventory
Work with our global sales team to prepare inventory production forecasts.
Assist the Finance Manager to prepare and update cashflows and determine capital requirements to meet purchasing forecasts.
Manage stock levels across all global warehouses ensuring sufficient inventory is available at all times.
MANUFACTURING
Manage the companies existing manufacturers and suppliers ensuring all manufacturing KPI's are met.
Assist the Product Development Manager to negotiate and review manufacturing prices as required from time to time.
Prepare and administer the companies manufacturing agreement with all manufacturing partners ensuring compliance with their obligations at all times.
Responsible for the purchasing of all inventory taking into account production and shipping lead times and according to agreed production prices with each factory.
Implement and monitor systems and process to ensure adherence to our quality standards and production timelines.
Maintain accurate records of all manufacturing quotations and prepare cost comparison reports as required.
Assist the Product Development team to source and evaluate new manufacturers as required.
Assist the Design Manager to obtain feedback and cost indications for new product concepts from time to time.
WAREHOUSING
Negotiate and manage all 3PL services rates and charges and monitor markets and 3PL fees and charges to ensure competitive pricing at all times.
Monitor and ensure adherence by all 3PL partners to contracted KPI's for on time delivery, support services and fees and charges.
Source and evaluate suitable 3PL partners as required from time to time
Reconcile and balance inventory for all global 3PL and company warehouses
LOGISTICS
Coordinate and plan all shipping and logistics from our factories to our global warehouses and customers.
Negotiate shipping rates and lead times with freight forwarders.
Plan all logistics and shipping taking into account cost effectiveness and peak cost periods to ensure sufficient inventory is available to meet forecast demand at all times.
Monitor global issues and ensure freight movements are adjusted to address extenuating factors.
Monitor and evaluate freight forwarding costs and evaluate alternatives as required.
Optimise shipping routes and methods to balance cost and delivery speed.
