Job Description
This individual is responsible for crafting and executing strategic operational policies, managing daily production activities, and leading continuous improvement initiatives to achieve optimal performance and safety standards.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role and hold a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, business administration, or a related field.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Strategic Operational Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive operational strategies and plans, focusing on enhancing productivity, quality, and efficiency across all manufacturing processes.
Production Activity Management: Organize and oversee daily production operations, ensuring the alignment of output with quality standards, budgetary constraints, and time schedules. This includes a strong focus on resource allocation, labor management, and workflow optimization across both of our major workshops
Process and Quality Control: Maintain control over the manufacturing process and quality assurance protocols, including the development of maintenance schedules, operational hour setting, and assisting with the procurement of necessary materials and equipment.
Cost Management and Process Optimization: Regularly evaluate production outputs and operational costs, identifying and implementing cost-reduction and process improvement opportunities.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for production-related communications & toolbox meetings with other management team members & supervisors, providing regular updates and recommendations.
Equipment Management: Oversee the procurement, installation, and maintenance of production machinery and technology, ensuring they meet current and future operational needs.
Record Keeping and Reporting: Manage the creation and maintenance of accurate production records and reports for internal analysis and compliance purposes, alongside our Quality manager.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure the production operations comply with all relevant health and safety regulations, coordinating with our Quality
& Project Managers & Workshop/Production Staff.
A remuneration package of between $115,000 and $150,000 PA will be offered to the successful candidate.
