Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Grain Science, Agricultural Engineering, or related disciplines.
Experience:
• 5–10 years of experience in production roles within cereal, grain, or flour milling industries.
• Strong exposure to continuous production processes, equipment handling, and regulatory compliance.
✅ Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Process Management
• Plan, organize, and control production schedules to meet output targets and deadlines.
• Ensure smooth execution of grain intake, cleaning, conditioning, milling, sieving, grading, and packaging processes.
• Monitor and adjust process parameters to maintain optimum yield and product consistency.
2. Quality & Food Safety Compliance
• Enforce quality assurance standards (FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, FSSC 22000) in every stage of production.
• Coordinate with QC/QA teams to ensure grain and cereal products meet regulatory and customer specifications.
• Investigate and resolve non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions.
3. People & Shift Management
• Supervise and lead production teams including machine operators, shift in-charges, and workers.
• Conduct regular training programs on milling practices, equipment handling, and safety protocols.
• Plan manpower for multiple shifts, ensuring productivity and compliance with labor laws.
4. Equipment & Maintenance Oversight
• Ensure proper functioning of cleaning machines, de-stoners, magnetic separators, conveyors, milling rollers, sifters, and packaging machines.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive maintenance, breakdown handling, and spares management.
• Suggest improvements in machinery and layout for better efficiency and safety.
5. Inventory & Cost Control
• Monitor raw material, WIP (work-in-progress), and finished goods inventory.
• Optimize use of raw materials to reduce wastage, reprocessing, and energy consumption.
• Maintain production within allocated budget and cost parameters.
6. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety norms, dust control systems, PPE usage, and accident reporting.
• Conduct periodic safety audits, risk assessments, and mock drills.
• Promote environmentally sustainable practices like waste segregation, water recycling, and energy conservation.
7. Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate production records: batch logs, yield reports, machine utilization logs, and downtime analysis.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management review.
• Ensure traceability and documentation of processes for audit readiness.
8. Innovation & Process Improvement
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation solutions, and new technology adoption.
• Benchmark and drive continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, TPM.
• Stay updated on grain science trends, milling techniques, and customer preferences.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in communication and cross-departmental coordination.
