Job description
Vickerstock are working in partnership with a food manufacturing firm on the appointment of a Production Planner.
As a Production Planner you will have mixed responsibility for planning and scheduling production activities, managing raw material and finished goods inventory, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal production flow.

In your new role:
• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory targets.
• Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly production plans with the production team.
• Monitor and work with the Purchasing dept to manage raw material, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory levels.
• Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts, identifying and addressing discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Review sales forecasts and analyse historical demand data to generate accurate production forecasts.
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline production planning and inventory management processes.
• Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, and stock movements in the ERP or inventory management system
What you will need to succeed:
• Two years experience in food manufacturing (FMCG also considered)
• Analytical skills with the ability to deal with high volumes of data
• Clear and confident communication skills.
• Past experience managing an MRP/ERP
