Role Description
Deutsche Bank's Corporate Bank addresses the needs of corporate clients, financial institutions, investors and issuers in three segments.
• In Corporate Treasury Services we provide corporate clients with liquidity management, foreign exchange, payment, trade finance and lending solutions. These services are orchestrated by a treasury coverage team that works closely with the Investment Bank to ensure cross-divisional alignment.
• Our Institutional Client Services provide financial institutions, investors and issuers with institutional cash management, trust and agency solutions as well as securities services.
• In Germany, our Business Banking segment supports small businesses and self-employed business owners with payment and credit solutions as well as other banking services across our three brands Deutsche Bank, Postbank and the digital bank FYRST.

The position primarily supports Corporate Bank Technology (CBT) data services function which includes data sourcing, processing, analysis, reporting and tableau dashboard development and enhancements. Key stakeholders are senior management teams across Corporate Bank Technology Data & Innovation (TDI) (including teams building the solutions, i.e. CIO teams, and the teams running the services, i.e. Production teams).
Corporate banking applications serves the needs of business areas spread across all APAC, EMEA and US regions and production support teams.
Production Data & Analytics team is responsible for providing insights to the entire Corporate Bank production division. This includes sourcing data, creating and managing dashboards and reporting solutions for division's key stakeholders. It also helps wider engineering team with adoption of automated processes and enhancing monitoring capabilities across Client, Application and Infrastructure.

Your key responsibilities
As an Engineer in the Production Data & Analytics team, you will be responsible for the following:
• Supporting the execution and delivery of the overall data engineering strategy to achieve greater consistency in how solutions are adopted and implemented.
• Complex Data Processing using SQL, Python and data science tools to derive meaningful insights.
• Drive the creation, implementation and adoption of analytical dashboards and reporting mainly using Tableau.
• Carry out technical analysis of the data and tableau reports to identify and remediate performance and resiliency issues.
• Responsible for training other members within CB to ensure a wide reach of dashboards and analytical knowledge amongst members of the CB teams.
• Act as a role model to enhance the technical capability of the team embedded with engineering culture.
• Build and maintain effective and productive relationships with the stakeholders in business, development, infrastructure and third-party systems / data providers & vendors.
• Ensure all knowledge is documented and that support runbooks and knowledge articles are kept up to date.
• Approach with a proactive attitude, working to improve the data services.
• Lead by example to drive a culture of proactive continual improvement through automation and innovation.
• Engage in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to enhance Production Standards and controls.
• The candidate may have to work in EMEA shifts to best align with key stakeholder's time zone.
Your skills and experience
• 6+ years' experience in IT in large corporate environments, specifically in the area of development in Financial Services Technology.
• Data extraction, cleansing, preparation, processing, analysis and presentation using Python and popular data science modules.
• Good working knowledge of Databases and SQL, Scripting, SDLC tools like JIRA, GIT.
• Development experience in Data Visualization using Tableau.
• Good understanding of ITIL Service Management framework such as Incident, Problem, and Change processes. ITIL Foundation certification is preferred.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Can work independently with minimum supervision. Ability to self-manage a book of work and ensure clear transparency on progress with clear, timely, communication of issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrix structures
• Preferably knowledge and experience on cloud technologies like GCP.
