About your role
We’re looking for an experienced Operations Leader to manage our Mount Maunganui site.
This role is critical in ensuring the safe and efficient manufacture of our chemical products. You’ll lead and develop our Production team while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Based at our Mount Maunganui site, you’ll oversee daily operations with a strong emphasis on creating a safety-first culture, ensuring all processes meet regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement in operational quality and team productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day to day operations of production, driving the business toward maximum productivity
Develop and implement systems and procedures to support production in meeting the business requirements
Ensure that process operators have the capability to deliver their targets
Ensure that production processes are documented and continuously improved or simplified
Trouble shooting plant down time issues and determining and implementing corrective actions
Compliance with both IXOM and statutory SH&E requirements
Managing product rework to ensure that levels are kept to a minimum and that there is a low level of disposed product
Contribute to the S&OP process and manage production scheduling in line with business and customer requirements
Who are we looking for?
Proven experience in team leadership within manufacturing or operations
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing or operations, preferably in the Chemical, Food, Pharma or Oil & Gas industry
Strong safety performance record
Has a continuous improvement mindset, Lean experience desirable
Good knowledge of SH&E standards and statutory regulations
Engineering qualification preferred, but not essential
Experience in SAP Transactions
Permit to work experience including confined space entry
