Weyerhaeuser's (Engineered Lumber Products) Timberstrand® manufacturing Plant, located on beautiful Lake of the Woods in Kenora, Ontario, is currently seeking permanent full-time Production Supervisor. Our plant manufactures the high strength engineered wood product Timberstrand® in a 24/7 operations, non-union, manufacturing environment. Key Functions:

Promotes and demonstrates a strong focus on safety at all times

Provides all aspects of shift leadership to production, promoting the concepts of team work and associate involvement

Supports a respectful environment and encourages a positive attitude and cooperation within own team, as well as other departments within the plant

Provides planning and scheduling of production activites in conjunction with other shift supervisors

Assures the optimization of production effectiveness in the areas of safety, plant uptime, quality, housekeeping, environmental compliance, etc

Works cooperatively with maintenance to promote and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs

Deals effectively with numerous priorities and issues and has the ability to problem solve and make decisions

Interfaces with the Leadership Team to assure overall unit effectiveness

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary education studies is an asset

Strong commitment to safe work practices

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and conduct all transactions in an ethical manner

Strong computer skills

Commitment to a diverse work environment

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Must be able to prioritze and handle multiple tasks, initiatives, and willingness to take on challenges

Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and deal effectively with challenging situations

Previous experience in an industrial facility would be an asset

Previous supervisory experience in a progressive team environment would be an asset

Wood manufacturing leadership experience would be an asset

Requirements: Training

Successful applicants wil be provided with leadership support and training

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $88,500 - $128,500 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Nonunion Canadian employees are automatically enrolled in our Defined Contribution Pension Plan, which includes a paid company match up to 6%, in addition to a company contribution equaling up to 7.25% of your base salary. Employees are also eligible to enroll in the Retirement Savings Plan (Group RRSP).
