Nyrstar Hobart is a large scale zinc smelter located on Hobart's River Derwent, only a few kilometres from the Tasmanian capital's charming and cosmopolitan city centre. This is a rare opportunity to work on site in the resources industry, in a capital city location.

About the Role:

The Production Team Leader will provide operational leadership to a shift-based team at the Hobart Zinc Smelter. The emphasis is on ensuring safety, production efficiency, and environmental compliance while aligning with the company's values. The rotating shift roster (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off) highlights the need for flexibility to manage a round-the-clock industrial manufacturing operation.

Key Duties and accountabilities:

Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing shift team to achieve safety, production, and environmental goals.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement strategies to optimize processes and outcomes.
Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain relationships to meet internal and external business needs.
