The Opportunity
Due to growth of the business, and an increase in volume of work, Barossa Fine Foods are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our team within our food manufacturing facility. All positions are permanent full time, 38 hours per week between Monday and Friday, with overtime opportunities available. Roles within our facility include:
Smallgoods Maker - Make and prepare, using relevant equipment to produce, assemble, hang and pack products such as Fritz, Kranskies and Salamis adhering to food quality requirements
Ham and Bacon Curer - Make, prepare, ferment and pack a variety of pork products, ensuring relevant equipment is used adhering to food quality requirements
High Risk Packing and Slicing - Use machines to slice and pack products and prepare for distribution in a high-quality controlled environment
Boner - Responsible for the sage use of knives to cut, trim, debone and skin fresh meat (pork) adhering to food quality requirements. Suitable for someone with knife experience from a similar role
Ovens - Responsible for the proper use of smoker/oven machinery, collecting and transporting racks of meat to smoker and/or oven
Labelling - Label products, fill boxes and stack packed produce onto pallets ready for distribution

Who we are looking for -
Have a minimum year 10 high school education.
Must be effective in, and have the ability to follow, written/verbal communications.
Able to perform repetitive tasks and work on their feet for extended periods of time.
Able to occasionally and safely lift up to 15kg
Ideally have computing skills in basic Office type software plus an ability to comprehend data presented electronically
Willingness to learn and train in food manufacturing industry for career advancement and development.
Production and Food Manufacturing experience skills an advantage.
