Job Description
The Network and Security Senior Consultant provides support on projects to solution and delivery customer value. The ideal candidate has a broad base of knowledge and experience across multiple industries, products, and services. Reporting to the Director of Professional Services, the Senior Consultant should be a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) with experience on Cisco network and security products with strong design and implementation skills, in an enterprise scale environment.
Remote role but must be based in Greater Toronto area and able to travel to clients sites in the GTA as needed.
Responsibilities:
Provide planning, design, and implementation services for client network security and route/switch technology deployment projects
Provide technical project oversight for large scale network security and route/switch technology deployment/migration projects
Provide presales solution and level of estimate development support as a network security and route/switch technologies subject matter expert
Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of CompuCom’s industry best practices and standards for deploying enterprise technologies
Mentor and provide technical leadership to other team members
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum five to ten years of experience in the solution design, implementation planning, and deployment of Cisco and other multi-vendor network and security solutions
Experience as a Senior Implementation Lead and/or Architect Team Lead
Able to be a self-starter, multi-task and work with clients in challenging network environments and in multiple concurrent customer projects
Superior customer-facing skills
Experience working directly with product vendors
Experience developing project plans, Level of Effort estimates, deployment and test plans
Strong Network Security and Route Switch Cisco Engineer
Planning, design, and deployment/upgrade of firewall solutions (Cisco Firepower, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.) in enterprise scale client environments
Experience in design and deployment of data center and enterprise networking technologies such as NXOS, ACI, intent-base network, DNA and SD-WAN
Competency in design and deployment of Cisco security portfolio such as ISE, Zero Trust, Firepower, Umbrella, AMP and Email security
Experience with Microsoft Azure networking a plus
Methodical approach to problem solving and resolution
Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups
Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities
The ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations and gather team consensus to move forward
The Senior Consultant must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in an organization; develop procedural documentation; develop and conduct effective presentations; effectively demonstrate products and solutions; and be able to write customer proposals
Education/Certifications:
Network Security CCIE or CCNP Certification
Router & Switch CCIE or CCNP Certification a plus
CISSP or equivalent is a plus
Bachelor’s degree, technical degree or equivalent experience
Additional certifications in Fortinet, Palo Alto, HPE, Juniper and programming languages a plus
