Job Description
The Director is the chief academic and administrative officer of the School of Architecture, responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction, and oversight in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Council of Architecture (CoA), India. The Director ensures the institution's commitment to academic excellence, research, professional development, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership:
• Foster a culture of academic excellence and innovation in teaching and research.
• Oversee curriculum development, ensuring it meets CoA standards and industry requirements.
Administration and Management:
• Ensure compliance with CoA regulations and other statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies for inspections, accreditations, and adherence to academic standards.
• Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans to achieve institutional goals.
Faculty Development:
• Encourage continuous professional development and support faculty participation in conferences, workshops, and seminars.
• Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Research and Development:
• Encourage and support research initiatives and projects in architecture and related fields.
• Facilitate collaborations with industry, government agencies, and other academic institutions.
• Secure funding and grants for research and infrastructure development.
Quality Assurance:
• Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of education and administration.
• Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure continuous improvement.
• Prepare and submit required reports to the CoA and other regulatory bodies.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
• Master’s degree in Architecture (M.Arch) from a recognized institution.
• Ph.D. in Architecture or related field is preferred.
Experience:
• Minimum of 17 years of Overall Experience with 08 years of academic experience in architecture
