About the Position
The Safety and Wellbeing (SAW) Program supports women and their families by increasing access to community services and holistic wellbeing programs, using a trauma‑informed approach to address both immediate safety concerns and long‑term wellbeing.
We are seeking a Program Coordinator to oversee the effective delivery of the SAW Program and build strong relationships with participants to understand their needs, goals and aspirations.
As a Program Coordinator your responsibilities will include:
Lead the day‑to‑day operations and coordination of the SAW Program.
Ensure all program and funding requirements are met, including timely reporting.
Develop, track and review program milestones.
Provide direction and support to the SAW Aboriginal Family Support Practitioner.
Assess client eligibility and needs, ensuring access to appropriate, integrated services.
Support outreach services and refer clients to relevant clinical and community supports.
Facilitate Men’s Groups in Ceduna and surrounding regions and deliver group programs that promote behaviour change and emotional regulation.
Provide advocacy and conflict resolution support where required.
Travel to Koonibba and other outreach locations as needed.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
Experience coordinating and leading teams, programs or projects.
Experience working with and supporting people experiencing a range of trauma.
Experience in developing and facilitating groups, presentations and workshops.
Local knowledge of community resources and connections.
Sound knowledge of a range of practice theories and therapeutic interventions, issues around family relationships and separation, family violence, suicide ideation, peer pressure, bullying, self-esteem, drug and/or ******* abuse, mental health and mental illness.
Demonstrated ability to work with, and be sensitive to the differing needs of people from various cultural groups.
High level of negotiation and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Well established organisational and time management skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in a highly confidential manner.
High level of ability in the use of Microsoft Office and Information Technology.
Tertiary qualification in Social Services or Community Services related fields (highly desirable)
Requirements of the role:
Hold (or willingness to obtain) a current DHS Working With Children Check *
Hold (or a willingness to obtain) a National Criminal History Record Check (Police Check) *
Hold a current South Australian Driver’s License (minimum Provisional License)
