Multi-Station Program Director & Announcer – Bancroft, ON
Bancroft, Ontario is located just 245 kilometers from Toronto and 220 kilometers from Ottawa in the heart of Ontario’s Cottage Country. If you’re a team player, a self-starter, and willing to learn and lead by example, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Director, responsible for the on-air product on multiple Vista station in the Cottage Country.
Be a part of the community; live, work and play here in the local market/community.
Host an entertaining show listeners can relate to, live and locally focused.
Music scheduling software knowledge a must, G-Selector would be terrific!
Know how to prep a great show for our audience! Assist to develop creative promotions
Voice track shifts as necessary
Be keen with social media (Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube)
Voice commercials for other Vista properties as needed
Community liaison for the station
Host station on-location broadcasts as assigned
Any other relevant duties that may be assigned from time to time
Job Requirements
Passion for all things radio and the desire to lead a small team to success,
Minimum of 3 years On-Air Host experience
Knowledge with G-Selector or similar music scheduling software,
Strong verbaI and written communication skills
Post Secondary Broadcast training from an accredited institution,
A valid class 5 driver's license,
Working familiarity with Adobe Audition,
Demonstrated ability to use and excel with social media (Face book, Twitter, lnstagram, etc) and
Comprehensive knowledge or experience working in a small market is an asset
