Job description
We are a leading international Recruitment service provider.
We are currently working with a Chicago based IT Product company.
They are looking for Network Support Engineer. This is completely work from Home position. Candidates who are willing to work from Home will only be shortlisted.
Position : Network Support Engineer
Work Timing: 7:00pm - 4:00am (IST)
Experience: 6+ years

Technologies
• Azure experience on the networking side
• Network security groups
• Vnet
• Udr’s
• Palo Alto FW’s / Panarama / FW Upgrades
• SD-WAN SilverPeak – understanding of how to build tunnels etc.
• Site to Site VPN experience – Prisma Access with VPN tunnels connecting back to Silver Peaks / Silver Peaks to Palo Alto FW / IP Sec tunnels to random vendors
• Cisco Switches / Network refreshes - Catalyst 4500 Nexus
• Migration to Juniper
• Meraki switches and smaller locations
• Meraki access points
• Port Knox
• POC to move from call manager to Teams next year
Responsibilities
• Mixture of tickets – network slowness, Zoom dropped packets, bandwidth issues for example are normal
• 5 or 6 people complaining, why are we getting this issue – our resource needs to be able to troubleshoot
• Involved in rolling out projects, needs to have good documentation capabilities on day to day activities / organization
• Patching strategy – very reactive today – need to come up with a strategy – proactive process
• Upgrade global protect 2X per year, FW’s 4X per year for example
• No schedule w SilverPeak – usually 3 or 4 times per year
• Changes happen on weekends 2X per month – starting at 10PM CT / 2-3 hours – resource would need to be available to support these and then can take a half day to make up the time lost during the following week

• Strong communication skills in English.
• A reliable internet connection and a laptop/PC with a webcam and mic.
• Passion for education and helping others succeed in tech.
