Full job description
This role will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of initiatives that improve learning and/or wellbeing outcomes for Taungurung students, and First Nations learners in government schools on Taungurung Country. This role would suit an organised person with a passion for education and requires communicating with stakeholders in the community, as well as schools, Department of Education and services to support educational outcomes for First Nations and Taungurung students.
Status: Full-time
Location: Broadford or Alexandra (negotiable)

Key duties:
Work with the Taungurung community, families, school staff and students to facilitate the best outcomes for First Nations learners in government schools on Taungurung Country.
Undertake project planning for and implement activities relating to TLaWC’s Education workplan that includes schools engagement and cultural education programs on Taungurung Country.
Maintain a strong cultural focus that extends to advice and action on broad issues, including the enrichment of cultural awareness.
Writing and submitting reports relating to the TLaWC Education workplan including to report to education initiative partners, the Department of Education.
Attending all meetings with relevant stakeholders such as the Koorie Outcomes Division, Department of Education and other education partners.
