Key Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Program Manager at the GBS, who will lead the team of staff at the clinic and oversee provision of the BreastScreen and diagnostic service. This position would suit an experienced Radiographer looking to step up, or someone with proven management experience who is looking for a challenge to diversify their skillset.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for managing the daily operations of the clinic, while maintaining all BreastScreen protocols. The successful applicant must be a demonstrated leader who possesses excellent communication and organisation skills, as well as being motivated and dedicated to drive a strong culture of high quality patient care.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Coordination and management of both BreastScreen and Private Diagnostic Imaging services, in conjunction with the BreastScreen Program Coordinator and Lake Imaging Management

Management of financial resources, including data analysis and reporting in line with budgets and funding

Development and implementation of business plans for service programs

Coordination of ongoing education, support and professional development for staff

Establishment and development of networks in the community with the aim of facilitating client understanding and satisfaction

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

Experience in staff supervision and training

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to lead the development and improvement of service delivery

Relevant tertiary qualification

Current Victorian Driver's Licence

Police Check and Working With Children Check

Knowledge of breast imaging quality assurance procedures in analogue and digital environments

Background in health service management

Extensive experience and competency in screening and diagnostic mammography and assessment work-up procedures

Experience working in multi-disciplinary management

Well-developed knowledge of the BreastScreen Australia Program

Well-established knowledge of Medicare requirements for diagnostic breast imaging.
