Title
Project Manager
Principal assignment or reason for existence
GBSU/COO/TPO is responsible for transformation projects, functional support, enhancements for Asia and EMEA regions of GBIS. The team consists of PMs and BAs who co-ordinate end to end delivery of all the services to users. The team has managed large implementation projects for deployment of global tools primarily in Asia.
In the context of the expansion of SG’s footprint in the Region (global and local booking) and of the roll-out of the target systems, GBSU/TPO needs to strengthen skills around the global tools of GBIS.
The position is part of the Business Analyst & PM team based in Bangalore. An ideal candidate would have between 15-18 years of industry experience in driving large transformation programs of the bank, exposure to local/global regulatory frameworks, Implementation of regulatory projects, exposure to Corporate and Investment banking products like FX, Derivatives, Commodities, Fixed Income products etc.
Looking for Project Managers with hands-on execution skills.
In addition to the functional knowledge inclination, he/she should possess sound knowledge of Project Management.
Main responsibilities
Primary responsibilities:
• Be responsible for projects assigned to him, on enhancements and new business projects either on System implementation or enhancements or run the bank activities.
• Depending on the nature of the project and need the person shall be flexible to play various roles among being an individual contributor and business analyst, coordinator, project manager.
• Project Management: Stakeholder management, Planning, monitoring of project progress and status reporting.
• Business Analysis: responsible for study, coordination, UAT, Change management.
• Alert and escalation management, Budget and follow up of budget.
• Working with vendor teams.
• Take part and deliver NPC (New products Committee) related tasks
• Co-ordinate level 3 support issues for the region.
• Participate, follow-up Local, Regional or Global projects for users.
• Promote and ensure the use of standard project follow-up tools (Pyramid, SOFI etc)
• Create maintain and contribute to the organizational process assets and implementation knowledge kits.
• The role requires close coordination and working with Front Office, IT, Operations and various support functions teams across Paris, Bangalore and the regions.
• Strong commitment and rigor to work under stress and demanding project timelines.
Degree of autonomy
As part of the BA & PM team, the person will have a reporting level according to his level of experience and position.
He is empowered to propose solutions and action plans on the projects on which he is assigned and will seek as much as possible to make them compatible / applicable on a Regional basis as well.
He / she have to follow and implement global GBSU guidelines and strategy.

Operational skills
Project Management skills:
• Proven capability of following up a project’s planning and budget.
• Strong project management experience to coordinate and engage with Front, Middle, Back Office users and Various internal IT teams across geographies.
• Strong experience in liaising with Senior management of the bank at CXO levels, conducting steering committee meetings.
• Produce periodic test reporting, dashboards for audience at various levels.
Functional Knowledge around:
• Strong functional expertise in Investment banking domain(Cash Equity, OTC and Listed derivatives ,Forex, Money Market, Rate Derivatives, Fixed Income products and Transversal functions across Risk,PnL, Valuation functions ) . Understanding of BFSI product is a must.
• Strong experience in Test management, Test plan, Test strategy preparation with experience in driving end to end tests.
• Be the first point of contact for users during functional testing, providing first and second level functional analysis during the tests.
• Define and document Standard test strategy, test cases and design to be reusable across implementation projects.
• Prepare, maintain and manage High level and Detailed Test planning in discussion and agreement with stakeholders.
• Strong command in Test management using Quality Centre.
Implementation projects experience:
• Strong experience in working on front to back system implementation and migration projects in Investment banking domain.
• Build, Groom and Manage a team of implementation consultants focusing on tests and acceptance.
• Strong commitment and rigor to work under stress and demanding project timelines.
Good communication skills in international, multi-team and multi-cultural environment:
• Excellent English communication skills both spoken and written
