Job Description
The Centre for Energy Finance seeks to hire a Programme Associate to build business models and perform financial modeling to develop an internal knowledge base and deep understanding on market movements in the clean energy sectors. The Associate will be expected to take initiatives towards advancing the objectives of the Centre for Energy Finance. CEEW offers an intellectually challenging and conducive work environment, with a focus on research rigor, innovative thinking, and strategic outreach. We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join the interdisciplinary CEEW team.
The Council seeks to hire the Programme Associate to
Perform rigorous quantitative and qualitative research.
Undertake financial analysis to assess the value add or potential value add within the different sectors and sub-sectors.
Develop business models to accelerate the adoption of clean energy technologies and interventions and have an understanding of the financing mechanisms/instruments within the sector.
Write high quality research pieces – papers, presentations, policy briefs etc.
The successful applicant will be responsible to understand technical, business, financial and regulatory trends and should be able to successfully capture them in a quantitative and qualitative manner. All information may not be in public domain and the applicant will be expected to reach out to organisations (government and private) and sectoral experts to gauge the reasons behind a specific trend. Such analysis is then expected to be used by policy makers to frame guidelines/policies for government, investors, and industries to take important decisions. The Associate’s work is expected to feed into the final outputs of CEEW - CEF which would assist decision makers in public and private sector.
