About the Role
We are looking for a Programme Manager to join the Quality and Patient Safety team. The Programme Manager will lead the planning and delivery of the National Events, Feedback and Risk Management System Programme | Te Tumu Aroturuki ā-Motu.
This role drives the delivery of the programme by working closely with a programme team, stakeholders and leadership across Health NZ, ensuring efficient and effective delivery on the agreed programme scope, with a positive change experience for the workforce.
Critical to the role is leading the transition from existing digital systems to a single national system for managing safety events, feedback and risk affecting patients, staff and the public across Health NZ. This will support an improved visibility of risk and harm, enable trend analysis, and strengthen quality improvement and learning across the system.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The Programme Manager will report to the National Director - Planning, Funding & Outcomes, with a dotted line to the National Chief, Quality and Patient Safety. The role will work in collaboration with Quality and Patient Safety, Occupational Health & Safety and Organisational Resilience, Risk Management, and Digital Services teams.

A relevant tertiary or professional qualification
A formal project management qualification or equivalent experience
Needs to draw on extensive experience in varied environments, stretching over a minimum of 5 years including:
Experience and knowledge of the health system, strategies and priorities
Experience and knowledge of programme and project methodologies
Demonstrated experience of successful programme and project delivery from conceptualisation through to delivery including on time, and within scope and budget
