• Must be flexible to work on any shift.
• Requires experience in Progress Database administration.
• Experience in OpenEdge V11 (or higher) in a UNIX environment is essential.
• Must have expertise in Progress OE installation/upgradation, database creation, and maintenance.
• Experienced in Progress OE features, including OE Auditing, CDC, AI Management, Replication, PAS, etc.
• Responsibilities include database administration, monitoring, dump & load, and performance tuning.
• Must have experience in Progress Database backup and restoration strategy.
• Experienced in DR (Disaster Recovery) strategy.
• Experience in Admin Server, NameServer, Appserver creation/configuration/maintenance & monitoring is required.
• OS shell/bash scripting skills are necessary.
• Basis progress 4GL knowledge is required.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Experience in Progress Version Migration and OS migration is desirable.
• Experience in Progress Dump and load (sequential, parallel, and multithreaded) is necessary.
• Experience in Type1 to Type2 data conversion and performance tuning is desirable.
