Project Accountant
Full job description
Monadnock Construction is seeking a Project Accountant who can prepare and monitor project work in progress schedules and reports, and confer with project managers on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
Responsibilities:
Job cost tracking, reconciliation of general ledger accounts and subsidiary ledgers, accounts payable, billing work in process and communication with management on project status
Handle and process subcontractor payables
Process contractor payment applications
Monthly review of job cost activity ensuring consistent and proper coding
Ability to access and accurately input information using Timberline/Sage
Assist in the preparation and review of all vendor invoices
Assist in the development/enhancement of project reporting for senior management
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications
Superior written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization
Independent, self-motivated team player who is attracted to a collegial working environment
Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision
Ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting deadlines
Minimum 2-4 years working in the construction industry
Timberline accounting software experience is a plus but not required
Oracle Textura Payment Management software experience is a plus but not required.
Demonstrate a high proficiency in Excel
Job cost and construction experience will be key for this position.
BS or BA in accounting

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - 110,000 annually.
