Job Description
The role requires flexibility, with travel to an office-based environment in or near Perth CBD three or more times a week, while some weeks may be 100% work-from-home. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, comfortable working independently, and have a suitable home office setup conducive to this type of role.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoicing (Accounts Receivable): Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, managing client accounts and collections.
Payroll (Including Timesheets): Process payroll, including timesheet management, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Accounts Payable: Oversee all aspects of accounts payable, including vendor management and payment processing.
Employee Reimbursements: Manage employee expense reports and ensure timely reimbursements.
Cost Control (Contract Spend Management): Monitor and report contract spending, ensuring adherence to budgets.
Billing and Reconciliations: Handle billing processes and reconcile financial transactions to maintain accurate records.
Business and Project Financial Management and Reporting: Provide comprehensive financial management, including revenue and cost allocation, cost management, and project budget transfers to ensure accurate reporting of revenue and costs, at a project level. You will be responsible for overseeing all projects in this role.
Liaison with External Accountant: Work closely with our external accountant on tax-related matters, ensuring compliance and efficient communication.
BAS Returns: Be qualified and able to prepare and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS).

XERO Experience: Proficiency in XERO or similar accounting systems is essential.

Dashboard Management: Experience in building and running dashboards for reporting purposes.
Industry Experience: Previous experience working in a projects-based organisation in a similar role is mandatory, as having an understanding of how project level revenue and cost management works is fundamental to being successful.
Financial Management Expertise: You will be responsible for the company’s overall financial management, with a strong understanding of how to allocate revenue, costs, and budget transfers to the correct project.
