We are looking for an experienced Project Builder to manage and deliver residential and small-to-medium commercial construction projects from planning through to completion. This role is suited to a hands-on professional with strong site leadership, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination skills. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret architectural drawings, engineering specifications, and construction documentation to plan and execute works accurately.
Coordinate site labour, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient delivery of construction activities.
Plan and manage procurement schedules for materials, plant, and equipment in line with project timelines.
Liaise with architects, engineers, consultants, and trades to resolve technical and construction issues.
Prepare and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and progress claims to maintain financial control.
Negotiate with clients, developers, and subcontractors to ensure contractual obligations are met.
Develop and implement site programs, sequencing works to optimise productivity and minimise delays.
Ensure compliance with building codes, legislation, workplace health and safety, and quality standards.
Arrange approvals, inspections, and submissions to local authorities and regulatory bodies.
Monitor the progress and workmanship of subcontractors, addressing performance or quality issues promptly.
Oversee contract or subcontract works, including specialist building services where required.
Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications & Skills

Trade qualification in Building, Carpentry, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience delivering residential or commercial building projects as a Project Builder or Site Manager.
Strong understanding of Australian building legislation, NCC requirements, and local council processes.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
Solid budgeting, cost control, and contract administration skills.
Effective leadership and communication skills to manage trades, consultants, and stakeholders.
High level of organisation, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
Current White Card and eligibility to work in Australia.
Preferred Qualifications

Builder’s licence or eligibility to obtain a licence in the relevant state or territory.
Diploma or degree in Construction Management or a related field.
Experience with project management or construction scheduling software.
Demonstrated experience working with local councils and private certifiers.
