Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Project Coordinator to join the Strategic Projects team within the Office of the Vice-Chancellor on a permanent, full-time basis.
As Project Coordinator, Strategic Projects, you will support strategic initiatives and operational projects across the University by providing high-quality coordination, administration, and stakeholder engagement. This role is central to ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with the University’s strategic priorities. You will be based at the Kelburn Campus and will work closely with the Manager, Strategic Projects.
Key responsibilities:
Project coordination: Support multiple workstreams, track timelines and deliverables, and maintain project documentation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Stakeholder engagement: Build positive relationships across the University, coordinate meetings, and keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
Reporting and documentation: Assist with project tracking and reporting, prepare reports for governance groups and senior leadership, and support programme evaluation.
Administrative support: Manage project communications and logistics for workshops and events, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.

Key requirements:
Essential
Demonstrated experience prioritising time to manage a number of projects at the same time.
Experience working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders.
Excellent attention to detail and strong skills in oral and written communication.
Demonstrate the following competencies: Client focus, self-management, integrity, innovation, communication, teamwork, and relationship building.
Desirable
Demonstrated experience in project coordination.
Experience in an education environment.
