The role:
Working for Symal Contractors as a Project Engineer, you will help lead and deliver complex civil & structure packages, predominately for Tier 1 & 2 building clients across Melbourne.
Self-perform experience with a similar business is ESSENTIAL for this role.
If you have worked in delivering civil structures / structures more broadly, this will be looked at favorably, although it is not essential.
Your impact:
Bringing your self-performing expertise to the team, you will aid in an efficient delivery process and one that is safe and on time.
Your every day:
Coordinating and administering construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with plans, designs and specifications
Participating in monthly financial reviews and providing cost forecasts against budgets to understand cost to complete
Leading and supporting a strong safety culture
Managing the construction program and implementing mitigating measures to keep the program on track;
Demonstrating financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions
Who are you?
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
3+ years relevant civil construction experience
Have a sound understanding of typical construction specifications used in the Australian construction industry
Excellent stakeholder management experience
Drivers license and own transport
