• Project Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders, including designers, engineers, suppliers, and clients, to develop project plans and define project goals, objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Conduct feasibility studies and resource assessments to determine the project's viability.
• Project Coordination: Coordinate all project activities, including design, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and installation, to ensure smooth project execution. Schedule and track project milestones, tasks, and dependencies, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that expenditures are controlled, costs are accurately estimated, and financial goals are met. Monitor project expenses and implement cost-saving measures when necessary.
• Cost Estimation: Determining the cost of materials, labor, and equipment needed for each project. This includes evaluating the quantity and quality of materials, sourcing prices from suppliers, and considering any additional expenses such as transportation and permits. Optimum design, costing and raw material estimation. Calculation of parameters and preparation of technical data sheets.
• Team Management: Lead and supervise cross-functional project teams, including designers, engineers, craftsmen, procurement specialists, and installers. Delegate tasks, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative work environment. Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations.
• Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to ensure that furniture products meet the required standards, specifications, and customer expectations. Conduct inspections and audits to identify and resolve any quality issues promptly.
• Vendor and Supplier Management: Source and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers for materials, components, and services. Negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, contracts, change orders, and progress reports. Prepare comprehensive project reports for management, highlighting key metrics, achievements, and challenges.
• Communication and Stakeholder Management: Establish effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal departments. Provide regular project updates, address concerns, and maintain positive relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Specification:
· Minimum 6 yrs. of experience.
· Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil, or a related field.
· Proven experience as a Project Engineer in the furniture/interior industry.
· Proven experience in cost estimation and billing.
· Relevant experience in interior Government contract Projects, Modular furniture projects, Commercial projects and interior turnkey projects.
· Strong knowledge of furniture design, manufacturing processes, and materials.
· Proficiency in project management software and tools.
· Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
· Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
