Grada Recruitment are partnered with one of the Hawke’s Bay’s leading construction firms to assist with their next hire! Due to expansion, they are now hiring for a Project Manager to look after several of their key clients.
This role is to build upon, maintain and develop relationships with key clients that have a range of facilities / assets that have ongoing requirements for Maintenance, Renovations, Upgrades & Further Building Works.

Small Works & Maintenance, Building Upgrades / Renovations & Insurance Works
Healthcare – Medical Facilities, Surgical Units, Imaging Centres & more
Government – Educational Institutions, Community Facilities & Public Buildings
Commercial – Offices, Wineries, Retail & Hospitality & Industrial Units
Residential – Individual Homes, Large Residential Developments & Community Housing
WHATS ON OFFER FOR YOU?
Basic salary from $110K - $130K

THE ROLE
Responsible for looking after key clients and their assets in the local Hawke’s Bay area
Establish / build upon strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure repeat business
Develop and implement reactive and proactive maintenance plans for clients assets
Define scope of works and provide pricing for a range of maintenance, renovations / upgrades and relevant building works.
Project planning, project timelines, schedules & resource allocation
Management of direct reports and overseeing sub-contractors
Reviews of processes, suppliers and contractors for opportunities to increase profit
Financial management – Monitor and control project budgets, prepare financial reports and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Must have strong business development / account management skills
A Project Manager with 3 years+ of experience with a NZ based main contractor
Ideally trade qualified as a Carpenter / Builder, or relevant related background
New Zealand experience is a MUST for this role as we require strong knowledge of NZ building codes, regulations and industry standards
Technical knowledge and understanding of NZ construction techniques / materials
Strong communication skills for internal and client management
Proficient in NZ costing and project management software
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
