Introduction
IBM Technology Expert Labs Project Manager is responsible for the successful completion of the client engagement by planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling all phases of the project by providing PM support, oversight to the project team. Works closely with IBM and Client project stakeholders and executives in order to successfully oversee the implementation of the clients’ vision for the project and ensure expected ROI. Coaches and mentors, the project team producing quality, on-time, on-budget project deliverables that meet the SOW requirements while mitigating risk for IBM. Outcome oriented and focused on overall project execution strategy by bringing forth technical/functional knowledge and recommended best practices specific to the execution of Technology Expert Labs deployments.
Your Role and Responsibilities
• Senior, single point of contact with respect to IBM Technology Expert Labs services projects/deployments
• Understands technology and carries the ability to work with multiple cross functional, technical, solution, product teams within IBM.
• Owns the project initiation step after the successful signing of SOW.
• Validates the (SOW) and must have an independent point of view from delivery risk and outcome standpoint.
• Assist the client with defining a program roadmap to optimize delivery value for the client based on their business strategy and requirements.
• Works with the team to manage the needs, expectations, project issues, and product requirements of the client.

• Acts as client advocate to IBM Product Management and the IBM Technology Expert Lab services leadership team. Work with other key contacts within IBM to
• provide a consistent voice to client.
• Participates, Represents IBM as required, in steering committee meetings.
• Monitors consultant team skills assessment and participates, provides performance evaluations for each team member.
• Plan, manage, control, optimize project baseline cost, and drive profitability by managing delivery and ensuring project completion within planned budget.
• Identify opportunities to drive incremental revenue by negotiating through change control process and raise project change requests.
• Provides oversight and delivery management to multiple teams delivering enterprise IT solution implementations.
• Recommend best practice in terms of project / program and governance organization structure to ensure delivery excellence.
• Proactively gain understanding of other programs / initiatives at client that may impact current project / program, engage with other programs as appropriate.
• Make best practices recommendations based on IBM experience as to managing operational change.
• Facilitates stabilization and stickiness of IBM software being deployed at client site.
