Position overview
Regulatory Affairs and Engagement (RAE) plays a key role in strengthening institutional accountability, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building trusted relationships with key stakeholders internal and external including at both Commonwealth and Territory levels. Regulatory Affairs and Engagement also include ANUs corporate communication functions and work closely with the Office of Interim Vice-Chancellor, and senior executive team.
The Role
Join the team delivering one of the most significant milestones in the University’s history—its 80th Anniversary. As the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering a memorable program of celebrations and strategic initiatives.
Working closely with the Multimedia and Production Manager and in consultation with the Director, Regulatory Affairs and Engagement, you will drive the planning, coordination, and execution of the Anniversary program.
You will provide high‑level executive and operational support while managing project timelines, workflows, and deliverables to ensure a smooth and successful rollout. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a broad network of internal and external stakeholders, helping to elevate the ANU brand and strengthen key relationships across the sector and community.

The Person
You are a proactive, highly organised professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. You bring experience in executive support and/or project coordination, with a strong understanding of governance, university operations, and stakeholder management.
You excel at building strong working relationships and are comfortable engaging with staff across all levels of the University—including the Office of the Interim Vice-Chancellor, the Office of the Chief Operating Officer—and with external partners. Your judgement, professionalism, and discretion allow you to navigate complex environments with ease.
The ideal candidate will have:
Demonstrated experience providing high-level executive support.
Strong project coordination capability and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a diplomatic approach to stakeholder engagements.
A proven ability to support efficient day-to-day operations and contribute to a collaborative, high‑performing team culture.
