Would you like to join a truly international, talent driven company that values Safety, Ethics, Quality, Innovation and Employee Opportunity? Otis Canada, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager for a major infrastructure construction project in the Greater Toronto Area.
On a typical day you will:
Ensure completion of the project safely, on time and within material and labour estimates
Effectively work with field management team to schedule field labour resources
Accountable for stakeholder satisfaction and managing their expectations
Control the material inventory, coordinate material deliveries and issuing purchase orders
Accountable for creating the project plan and executing the project (track and record manufacturing progress, installation progress and document any issues that delay the progress)
Responsible for monthly project reviews, project audits, handovers and final closure
What you will need to be successful:
A relevant post-secondary degree or diploma
5-7 years’ experience as a project manager; PMP project management designation is an asset
Experience in the vertical transportation industry including overseeing installations of both elevators and escalators on new construction projects
Ability to read architectural and mechanical drawings with elevator and escalators equipment
Strong leadership skills and the ability to take charge
Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving skills as well as strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project)
Experience managing a budget, producing monthly progress bills and supporting AR collections
Ability to meet tight deadlines, navigate difficult situations, and work well under pressure
A valid driver’s license and a car are necessary
