Site Manager (Electrical) -Transmission Line

Role responsibilities

Project Planning Performance
• Create the draft project plan for concept to commissioning works of 400kV Transmission Line works including all sub-tasks including ROW, Statutory Clearances etc.
• Plan, review and approve the month-wise work plan for the entire team to ensure successfully complete the project based on the approved project plan.
• Review correctness of engineering documents, prepare detailed work plan, identify shortages in receipt material, guide team in upkeeping of stored material in proper manner, Inform / do follow-up with vendor to ensure delivery of shortages
• Prepare erection sequence, get material issued to sub-contractor from stores, do briefing of drawings to sub-contractors supervisors by close coordination, check all tools tackles, get calibration reports of TP, Review welding methods welders / fitters / electrician competency.
• Review all major drawings specially tower schedule, soil strata, civil drawings, erection drawings BOM, stringing plan.

Project Delivery
• Effective deal to lead TL Survey, ROW, Statutory clearances, Team planning to execute field works for civil, erection stringing cum testing works.
• Review specifications and implement approved designs at Site / Project Level.
• Ensure that the project deliverables are on time within budget and at the required level of quality and safety.
• Ensure the financial and people performance remain above certain set standards at all stages of project cycle.
• Ensure adherence to all compliance as well as SOPs (standard operating processes) set by GRIL corporate office.
• Identify the variations in additional items and initiate the change of scope process.
• The role holder also reviews the client bills before getting them certified by the client.

Stakeholder Management
• Liaise with the client, consultant and relevant government officials to acquire necessary approvals.
• Apprise the team and senior management about the project progress and request support for providing necessary inputs to ensure smooth project execution.

MIS Reporting
• Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders, including senior managers in the organization on the progress of the project.

People Management
• Facilitate development and growth of direct and indirect reportees while keeping track of overall project employee engagement and attrition.
• Ensure all the employee grievances are handled in the appropriate manner.

Preferred Candidate Profile

B.E. / B. Tech (Electrical) with experience in 765kV / 400kV Transmission line works with 15-16 years of experience for Manager.
