Our goal is to improve health outcomes for all New Zealanders by delivering equitable, accessible and innovative care.

About the Role

We're looking for Project Managers to help lead health infrastructure projects across the Central Region within our Infrastructure and Investment Group (IIG). This role is responsible for managing the delivery of substantial projects or specialist streams, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and compliance standards. You'll oversee all aspects of project delivery, including planning, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and governance reporting.

You'll play a key role in shaping the future of health facilities in the Central Region, working closely with internal teams, contractors, and external partners to deliver projects that improve health outcomes for our communities.

There are two Project Manager roles available.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The IIG team are focused on delivering high impact infrastructure investments that support the transformation of New Zealand's health system.

About you

You're an experienced project manager who thrives on complexity and enjoys leading projects from start to finish. You're confident managing multiple priorities, building strong relationships, and influencing stakeholders at all levels. You combine technical expertise with strong leadership and communication skills, and you're committed to delivering projects that meet the highest standards.

And most importantly, you care. You're not just here to deliver buildings - you're here to help shape a health system that delivers better outcomes for communities. You actively contribute to a positive team environment and consistently embody the values of Health NZ in your work. You understand that how you lead is just as important as what you deliver and you take pride in fostering a collaborative, inclusive and purpose-driven workplace.

You will have:
