Our Workplace and Community Education Team fulfils the Commission’s statutory obligation to provide human rights education. We do this through the development of educational resources for the community, engagement with schools, and delivery of a workplace training program.
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Project Officer to develop and deliver external training programs on a range of anti-discrimination legislation/human rights issues and the functions of the Commission for Australian Government agencies, non-government agencies, community and private sector organisations and the Australian community.
This full-time / part time, ongoing / non ongoing position offers a competitive salary range of $94,563 - $105,910 per annum plus 15.4% superannuation.

Skills & Experience
What You’ll Do:
Develop, update and customise self-paced eLearning modules and support the administration of the Commission’s Learning Management System.
Facilitate training workshops (online and in-person).
Provide organisational and logistical support for training and education activities conducted by the Commission and work collaboratively with other team members.
Develop and update educational resources e.g. factsheets, infographics, community guides.
Maintain effective liaison with relevant government, non-government, corporate and community organisations and assist in the implementation of the Commission’s education and training programs with those organisations.
Support networks such as the Facilitation Community of Practice (internal network) and the Australian Council of Human Rights Agencies Education and Training Network (external network of educators from all state/territory Human Rights Commissions).
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in the development and delivery of education or training programs in an adult learning environment with a strong emphasis on digital learning platforms and tools.
Experience in the development and production of educational resources including digital content creation.
Project management skills including an ability to manage competing priorities, experience in coordinating resources and responding flexibly to changing work demands.
Relevant qualifications in education/training (eg, Certificate IV), and/or equivalent experience.
Relevant knowledge across a range of contemporary human rights issues and/or anti-discrimination legislation.
Understanding of accessibility issues and the capacity to effectively address these across a range of different delivery modes including web and elearning content.
Excellent presentation, relationship building, and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with an ability to communicate in plain English.
Please note: To be eligible for this role, you must be able to obtain a NSW Working With Children Check prior to commencement.
