About the Role:

Multiple Project Officer roles are available to support exciting River Murray programs within the Water Infrastructure and Operations Environmental Water team. This includes providing scientific advice to understand River Murray risks and benefits and supporting the effective management of the River Murray and its wetlands.

The Project Officer, Environmental Water is responsible for the provision of professional ecological advice and services to support ecological monitoring, environmental water investigations, real-time management and reporting on environmental water for the SA River Murray. The role supports the delivery of condition and intervention monitoring programs, evaluation, and reporting, particularly in relation to The SA River Murray. The Project Officer will work as part of a team and also individually to assist in the successful delivery of water for the environment projects.

Contract:

Multiple positions - up to 31 December 2026.

Essential Qualifications:

A tertiary qualification in Science, Environmental Management or equivalent is essential.

Special Conditions:

Located in Adelaide

A current class “C" driver's licence and willingness to drive is essential.

Some out of hours work may be required.

Intrastate travel including overnight absences will be required.

May be required to participate in fire management and associated duties.

Remuneration:

PO1 $68,478 min - $83,594 max p.a.
