Newly created role in our Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) program supporting a project team to achieve key tasks, deliverables, and milestones.

Full time maximum term position up to 12 months (part time applications considered)

Salary range: $78,719 - $94,151 (pro rata) plus super plus salary packaging

Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model

About the role

Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) is the primary non legal advocacy provider in Victoria for people subject to or at risk of compulsory treatment and are responsible for the opt out system. Working closely with the Project Coordinator, this position will coordinate the design, development and implementation of resources, processes, and learning tools to support consumers and IMHA Advocates.

This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

Experience in supporting project work, including design, coordination and implementation, as well as undertaking research, with the ability to meet deadlines.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to use those skills to build collaborative relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

Demonstrated research, writing and policy analysis skills, including an ability to think laterally and innovatively in providing advice, strategies and solutions.

Experience working with lived experience experts and an understanding of the challenges impacting people experiencing mental health issues accessing mental health and other related systems.
