Library Services | Reader Services
Clerk 7/8, Full time Temporary until 30th June 2026
Expressions of interest are invited from ongoing and temporary employees who wish to be considered for a temporary assignment to the above role.
About the Role
In this role you’ll keep Reader Services moving forward by helping deliver a small number of high impact projects that improve how staff support readers day to day. A key focus will be contributing to the implementation of the Library’s CRM, ensuring the ‘Ask a Librarian’ and ‘Library Feedback’ workflows are fit for purpose, staff are confident using the system, and change is effectively managed.
Alongside the CRM work, you’ll contribute to Phase 2 of the Reader Single Sign On project focused on multifactor authentication (MFA). You’ll also support the improvement of data quality and reporting (Power BI/Excel) so the branch can track what’s working and make practical improvements to services and spaces including the newly refurbished Reading Room.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have the following knowledge and experience:
Strong analytical and organisational skills applied to data management, producing actionable reports and improving workflows.
Demonstrated ability to prepare clear documentation, deliver training, and communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
Experience supporting technology implementations with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
The preferred candidate will demonstrate the State Library of NSW values of Integrity, Curiosity, Community, Generosity and Adaptability, contributing to a collaborative, future-focused and service-driven branch.
