THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting to the Lead Planner, the Planner supports the development, maintenance, and reporting of cost- and resource-loaded schedules across capital projects. The role works closely with project and contractor teams to track progress, maintain schedule quality and integrity, and support the timely and cost-effective delivery of projects across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.

This is a Fixed term full-time role based at our beautiful West Perth office, near the City West train station.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain integrated project schedules — including IMS, end‑to‑end, shutdown, and contractor schedules — using Primavera P6.
Apply Critical Path Method (CPM), schedule logic, baseline management and resequencing to support accurate project planning.
Track, update and forecast schedule performance against baselines, providing progress measurement, trend analysis and scenario modelling.
Review and validate contractor schedules, progress reporting, manning curves and planning data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Analyse scope changes, variations and schedule risks, recommending mitigation strategies to minimise delays and maintain delivery certainty.
Prepare high‑quality schedule reports, dashboards, S‑curves and progress narratives for project leaders and key stakeholders.
Support resource and commodity loading, manpower forecasting and integration of schedule information with cost control functions.
Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams to drive schedule alignment and timely project execution.
Assist with claims preparation, delay analysis and Extension of Time (EOT) assessments through accurate schedule records and forensic review.
Contribute to continuous improvement by supporting lessons learned, planning process optimisation and quality schedule data management.
Participate in planning workshops, progress reviews, change management processes and tender/bid planning activities as required.

ABOUT YOU:

3–5 years’ experience in project planning and scheduling, ideally in mining or heavy industry.
Proficient in Primavera P6 with strong understanding of CPM and project controls.
Strong communication skills and confident producing clear reports and schedule insights.
Highly organised, detail‑focused and able to meet reporting deadlines.
Safety‑focused with a collaborative approach to working across project teams.
White Card and valid C‑Class driver’s licence required; relevant tertiary qualifications desirable.
