What is the role?
The Command Corporate Services Unit (CCSU) encompasses diverse teams that provide critical corporate support services to all members within EC. The current teams within the branch are Human Resources, Finance and Commercial Services and Property and Exhibits (P&E).
The AFP are looking for a highly motivated, skilled, and enthusiastic Team Member to fill a current Band 3 vacancy within the P&E team, based in Sydney Headquarters (HQ), Surry Hills. The P&E Registry is involved with the maintenance of an evidence storage facility and the management of exhibits and property in accordance with AFP Legislative requirements.
The team is a high performing motivated team that provides support to AFP investigations by managing and administering exhibit lodgements in and out of the registry. The team focuses on the effective delivery of projects in line with policies, guidelines, and legislative frameworks. Candidates must possess strong communication skills, high levels of resilience and work seamlessly as a part of a team.

What will you do?
Senior Team Member P&E Registry assists AFP business through the provision of a variety of support functions to operational tasks. This work may include:
Undertaking a range of operational support tasks;
Manual handling of exhibits contained within the storage and warehousing facilities;
Utilising AFP systems to interrogate, input, collate and retrieve data;
Making sound decisions and achieving outcomes;
Maintaining currency in subject matter expertise through ongoing professional development and learning opportunities outside the formal education process;
Ability and willingness to liaise and work flexibly across a number of functional portfolios when required;
Provide training, support and induction to new members;
Provision of advice to AFP investigators on property and exhibit processes to ensure quality and accuracy of AFP data systems and evidence management;
Maintenance of currency and expertise in property and exhibit polices, guidelines and SOPs, including the handling of dangerous goods and hazardous material.
Essential Requirements
You must be an Australian Citizen at the time of application.
A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Desirable Requirements
There is a physical element to this role involving manual handling of a range of items including; bending, kneeling, and lifting within appropriate limits.
Certification in First Aid, Handling Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Substances and Manual Handling, or the ability to gain certification.
Current Drivers Licence/ Forklift Licence.
Experience and knowledge of WHS requirements in a warehousing and storage environment.
Prior experience in the handling and management of exhibits in a law enforcement or compliance environment.
Ability to work physically in the building (limited work from home opportunities due to the nature of the work).
Additional Information
This position is an AFP Band Level 3.
Proof of a minimum of two COVID-1+ vaccinations (or one dose if the Janssen vaccine was used) will be required if an offer of employment is made.
