About the role:
Are you a skilled and versatile maintenance professional with a passion for ensuring the smooth operation of properties? Do you possess a wide range of multi trade skills and thrive in a fast paced environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team responsible for responsive repairs during the warranty period of our new homes Reporting to the Aftercare Director, you will be responsible for general remedial and maintenance works to a high standard in void and occupied properties.
Duties include:
• Completing multi-trade remedial work to a high standard
• Ensuring all Health & Safety protocols and procedures are adhered to prior to undertaking any works
• Ensure (where appropriate) customer / sales schedule of works is completed in agreed timeframes
• Assisting the Aftercare Managers with remedial works where required
• Carry out all duties in in a professional and diligent manner
• Escalate any issues or risks to the appropriate person within the team
• Familiarising and holding a good understanding of required Sage Homes policies and procedures
• Planning the allocation of work to ensure an effective and efficient use of time and resources whilst ensuring customer needs are met
You'll required to travel to visit our homes in South East London, Kent and the surrounding areas. Please note the successful candidate will be provided with a company vehicle + fuel card and will be responsible for ensuring the vehicle and any equipment are maintained and in good order by undertaking inspections on a regular basis in line with company policy.
About you
• Previous experience as a multi-trade maintenance technician in a customer facing environment
• Good practical experience within all aspects of the building industry
• Basic knowledge of carpentry/bricklaying and plastering / drylining and all finishing trades
• Flexible to work overtime/weekends/emergency call outs if required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – engaging with customers, suppliers, partners.
• Pro-active approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Resilient personality and able to maintain a professional image in a customer facing role
• Ability to organise and prioritise effectively
• Current clean driving license
• NVQ in a specific building trade or qualified by experience in a multi trade / maintenance role
